This course introduces theoretical and applied approaches of strength and conditioning for working with tactical athletes (e.g., military, law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel). Learners will develop a foundational understanding of exercise science (e.g., functional anatomy and biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition) including responses and adaptations to exercise. Learners will apply their working knowledge of the human body to better understand the effect of drills and exercises on physical readiness, test and evaluate occupational fitness, and facilitate tactical strength and conditioning programs.
